Perris Swiss Laboratory is one of those skincare brands that simply feels right from the first touch: the formula, the texture, the results, the softness on the skin and the pleasure of using it. Skin experts and beauty insiders were among the first to embrace this Swiss skincare house. Now it deserves a much wider audience in the Netherlands.

Skincare that truly has it all
After thirty years in beauty journalism, I know that a skincare brand only becomes truly interesting when everything is in harmony: the formula, the texture, the results, the way the skin responds, the honesty of the claims and the simple pleasure of wanting to use it every day.
Perris Swiss Laboratory is exactly that kind of brand.
I spoke with brand manager Valérie-Anne Perret and with Petra Jeanty van der Spek of Prestige Cosmetics Benelux, the Dutch distributor of Perris. Petra had first introduced me to the brand three years earlier, and it had stayed with me ever since.
An innovator from the start
Perris Swiss Laboratory is part of the Perris Group, an Italian family company based in Monte Carlo, known for refined niche and prestige fragrances from the beautiful houses Houbigant Paris and Perris Monte Carlo. When the group bought a pharmaceutical laboratory in Switzerland, a new idea took shape: to create advanced skincare with a clear ethical and quality-driven foundation.
It began with a small collection called Skin Fitness. That name still says a great deal about the philosophy behind the brand. Skin does not become more beautiful through force. It needs daily support, intelligent protection and formulas that respect its natural biology while gently encouraging renewal.

Today, Perris Swiss Laboratory has grown into three lines: Skin Fit Youth, Skin Fitness and Lightening Solution.
Valérie-Anne explained that Perris made very deliberate choices from the beginning. No preservatives such as parabens or phenoxyethanol, airless packaging, no petrochemical ingredients, no animal-derived materials and no synthetic fragrances or colourants. This was ten years ago, before the big clean beauty wave had fully arrived.
Clean formulation with a real focus
Clean beauty has become a very broad term. Sometimes it means a lot. Sometimes it means almost nothing. The word is not legally protected, so every brand can give it its own interpretation.
Perris takes a more precise route. The packaging clearly says that the formulas contain at least 95 percent ingredients of natural origin. It also shows, at once, what the formulas do not contain.
For me, clean formulation only becomes interesting when it is about more than leaving things out. A good formula is also about what you put in, how ingredients work together, how the texture feels, how stable the product is and how the skin responds after days, weeks and months of use.
Sensitive skin as the starting point
Valérie-Anne describes the DNA of Perris in three words: naturality, Swiss expertise and sensitive skin.
That focus on sensitive skin feels very relevant now. More people experience their skin as reactive. The reasons are easy to recognise: daily stress, the feeling of always being switched on, climate change, air pollution, skincare routines overloaded with actives, more intensive skin treatments and a weakened skin barrier. Together, they all add up.

No compromise on the skin barrier
Perris formulates with great care for sensitive skin. That makes it very appealing for anyone who wants both safety and results, without constantly worrying about redness, tightness or irritation.
The products treat the skin barrier with respect. I find that reassuring. They actively support the skin, but they never make it feel pushed, stripped or overworked.
Antioxidants as the golden standard
At the heart of the formulas is a patented super-antioxidant complex: MTA-2ox. It combines a tocotrienol micro-emulsion, a sophisticated form of vitamin E technology, with astaxanthin.
Antioxidants help protect the skin against free radicals. UV radiation, air pollution and even the skin’s own biological processes can create these unstable particles. When they build up, they can damage cell membranes and collagen. The skin may lose firmness, look duller and develop pigmentation spots more easily.
The peelings: daily skin fitness
The Lift Anti-Aging Peelings are the soul of Perris. They also marked the starting point of the brand. Petra calls them “Dr. Magic” during trainings, and I understand why. According to her, after two weeks you begin to see why so many early adopters fell for Perris.
They give the skin a more immediate sense of glow and firmness. Over time, they are designed to help visibly improve skin texture, fine lines and pigmentation spots.

Mask Serum Éclat de Beauté: so multifunctional
One of the products I personally love is the Mask Serum Éclat de Beauté. Its serum-like texture makes it wonderfully versatile: you can use it as a hydrating mask, an overnight sleeping mask, a serum under day or night cream, a beauty flash under make-up and even as an aftersun.
We no longer use skincare in one fixed way every day. We look at what the skin needs in that moment. Sometimes it needs hydration. Sometimes recovery. Sometimes comfort after sun. Sometimes a quick glow before an appointment or dinner.
Products like this become favourites because they are easy to understand. You see what they do. You feel what they do. And you keep reaching for them.
Pure Regenerating Oil: recovery with an elegant dry finish
The Pure Regenerating Oil is a 100% Rosa canina oil, rich in omega 3, omega 6 and vitamins A, E and K. It has a dry, elegant finish, which makes it much more refined than you might expect from an oil.
Valérie-Anne describes it as a product for glow, elasticity, dryness, redness, scars and recovery after sun or cold exposure. Use it pure, or blend it with cream, serum or body product. I really like it. I sometimes use it under my serum mask as well.

Suncare you want to use every day
The new Active Sun Protect suncare line also makes me very happy. SPF is the foundation of good skincare, but only when the product is pleasant enough to use every single day. It should not feel greasy, sticky or heavy, and it should not leave a white cast. Perris SPF 30 and SPF 50 do this beautifully.
The formulas contain modern, photostable filters, including ethylhexyl triazone, bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine and diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate. They offer broad protection against UVA and UVB and help protect against visible light. Of course, the MTA-2ox complex is included here as well.
For me, this is hybrid day care: protection, hydration, water resistance, an invisible finish and glow in one. Exactly the kind of SPF you want to apply every morning.

Luxury that stays functional
What makes Perris so appealing is that the luxury stays functional. The products feel refined and high-end, but the real focus is always on what they do for the skin: comfort, technology, tolerance and formula quality.
Perris Swiss Laboratory is serious without becoming strict. Luxurious without exaggeration. Gentle without being passive. Effective without ever feeling harsh
I love that.
